Are you an artist with a passion for creating, who deeply cares about the work they do, and has a desire to work with a team in a creative community on a project? Look no further! Our foundation is here to help connect artists like you with projects. We welcome you to share your work and embark on this journey together. 

Artist Eligibility

• You feel you are ready to join a creative team.
• You feel you are ready to be seen by other filmmakers.
• You will need a Portfolio or Reel - one or the other. Both are not required.
• A Resume and Cover Letter is Required.
• You do not need to be a graduate of or enrolled in a university or scholastic program.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A driving passion to create animation, visual storytelling, and filmmaking.
• You will need the ability to speak and read English.

This is a FREE opportunity for those artists looking to connect with a project or a job and to those recruiters with positions available. Open to international artists. No tickets required. (There is a small non-refundable processing fee.)

While having a formal education and job experience are valuable, we believe that talent, passion and a strong work ethic are equally important and need to be seen. Here are some personal qualities we feel have value for all creatives:

ARTIST PROFESSIONALS:

• Creativity: A vivid imagination and the ability to think outside the box.
• Experience: A body of work that shows your abilities.
• Passion: A deep love for animation and a burning desire to create.
• Resilience: The ability to overcome challenges and setbacks in pursuit of artistic excellence.
• Openness: Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with fellow artists.
• Originality: A distinctive artistic voice that sets you apart from the crowd.
• Work Ethic: A determination and desire to work hard.
• Artists who are 18 and over who feel they are ready to show their work.

RECRUITING PROFESSIONALS:

• Resources: Has opportunities available.
• Experienced: Has a good understanding of the hiring process.
• Industry Knowledge: An understanding of the roles and skills needed.
• Aware of any legal and ethical considerations in the recruitment industry, including fair employment practices, equal opportunity regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
• Industry knowledge, and a passion for connecting artists with opportunities. 
• A strong reputation and network within the arts community.

Follow these simple steps:

• Ask yourself: Are you ready for a professional opportunity? (This is not a portfolio critique program.)
• Prepare Your Portfolio: Select examples to showcase your best work in the online portfolio that reflects your style and versatility. (This is not a portfolio critique program.)
• Combine a Cover Letter with your Resume: Tell us about your artistic journey, what inspires you, and why you want to be given an opportunity along with your resume.
• Submit Your Application: Go through the online application portal.
• Interview: Select candidates will be invited for an interview to connect to discuss their work and aspirations. If you are not selected you are provided with resources to improve for the next round.
• Join the Community: Either selected or not, you officially become a part of our artistic family and start enjoying the benefits of our creative environment.

DEADLINES 

•  Applications Open August August 26th 2023
• If you plan to attend the CTN eXpo and meet with recruiters Applications Close October 30th, 2023.
• If you don't plan to attend the CTN eXpo and want to be 'seen' beyond the CTN eXpo, you can continue to apply until December 31st, when this recruiting round will close.
• A new recruiting round will open in the 1st quarter of 2024.

Your portfolio should show your best work! Please organize your work to highlight your abilities.

Resume Submission and Cover Letter Specifications: Applicants will submit a PDF.

Portfolio Submission Specifications: Applicants will upload

• 5 - 12 Images
• All image files must be .jpg, .jpeg, or .pdf in the RGB color space.
• The image file can be no larger than 1240 x 1240 pixels.

Reel Specifications: Applicants will upload

• Up to 3 minutes long. No Password protection.
• Upload file must be  .mp4, .mov
• No links to redirect to google or vimeo and no password protection.

Your work will be evaluated by judges, recruiters, veteran or current working professionals in the animation industry on the below criteria.

• Creativity
  • The idea/concept.
• Storytelling
  • Is the story readable. Is it clear.
• Technique
  • The skill and handling of the medium you are working in.
• Style
  • Design.
• Originality
  • Your voice. Your signature.
• Or other specific requirements
  • Studios may have an independent set of criteria that they may be looking for.
