Terms and Conditions

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for all scholarships administered by the CTN Foundation Scholarship Program, referred to as ‘sponsors’ and all scholarships will be referred to as ‘scholarships’ herein. By submitting an application for our scholarship(s), you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

You must read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety before you accept your scholarship offer. When you accept your scholarship you are agreeing to and accepting these Terms and Conditions and agree to the requirements and conditions of your scholarship.

Applicants in receipt of scholarship may also be required to sign an individual scholarship agreement. Students must meet all conditions as outlined in the agreement.

All correspondence between applicant and sponsor will be operated primarily via email, with the option of telephone communication, based on the sponsor’s decision. All applicants must use a valid email address to be eligible. Any changes to this email address, after submission of application and without necessary cause, may result in cancellation of their application.

All applicants offered scholarships will receive an official ‘offer’ email offering the event details or fund award, and must reply by either accepting or rejecting this offer within 72 hours of receipt.

If sponsor does not receive a response in 72 hours from the date on the award email, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, the prize will be awarded to an alternate. Winner will supply a high resolution final file(s) if requested, and agrees that receiving this award sponsor has the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use except where prohibited by law.

Sponsor reserves the right to publish images submitted or taken as photos or digitally captured of the applicant, in print or online for educational and marketing purposes. 

Applicant retains ownership and copyright to all submitted items in perpetuity, as governed by law.

Sponsor will make payment of the funds (if award is a fund) in one single installment, though will reserve the right to make payment in multiple installments, as they see fit.

For fund awarded scholarships, the total value of the scholarship offered will be outlined in the official offer email. We reserve the right to offer any value of funds, up to the value of $1000. 

The scholarship funds can be paid through PayPal or by Check. Sponsor reserves the right to make the final decision on how payment is made, and can withdraw the offer of scholarship if an amicable and realistic payment process cannot be reached. Non-cash awards can not be exchanged for cash.

Scholarships are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. You must meet the eligibility requirements to receive your scholarship payment. The eligibility requirements for each scholarship are outlined on our scholarship page of our website.

The panel of judges reserves the right to disqualify any project due to poor quality, incompleteness, poor taste, inappropriateness of content, or concerns regarding copyright infringement in the original work. By applying for a scholarship, the applicant accepts and agrees with the decisions of Judges, which shall be final in all matters. 

Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend, terminate or not grant an award.

The artwork must be in compliance with the entry guidelines.

Entry Guidelines:

The entry must not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party. That means that the artwork should not contain a trademark or logo of another company, nor any copyrighted materials such as photographs, or posters.

The entry must be suitable for publication and publicity purposes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entries must be in good taste and must not contain obscene or defamatory statements nor portray Sponsor or any third party in any way that might tend to subject them to public contempt, scandal, disrepute or ridicule.

Applicant acknowledges that the artist creator will retain the rights to the artwork.

The entry may not contain the following: Nudity, profanity, any situations which expose any persons or likeness appearing in the entries to physical injury.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries it determines to be inappropriate for any of the reasons listed above, or for any other reason.

Submissions will be judged using the following criteria: creativity, storytelling, technique, style, and originality.

By applying for a scholarship, the applicant recognizes and agrees that the registration information provided by the applicant will be made available to Sponsors; use of such information will be governed by Sponsors’s privacy policy.

You may be permitted to hold more than one scholarship.

Sponsor  is not responsible for and cannot provide the applicant with financial advice on taxation matters. The information provided here is of a general nature only and does not take into account your individual financial circumstances. Sponsor is not responsible for checking and notifying you of, nor paying any taxation obligations.

Providing false or misleading information is an offense. If the sponsor knows or has reason to believe that you have provided false or misleading information, the sponsor may reassess your entitlement to the scholarship and you may be liable to re-pay to the sponsor the total sum of any payments incorrectly made to you. The sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, terminates, suspends, cancels, or modifies the scholarship site and award the prize from among all eligible entries received as of the date of termination if for any reason this scholarship is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, fraud, unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of the sponsor.

The sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Scholarship program at any point and reserves the right to share your application with any company affiliates, including personal information such as your email address.
