PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Travel to Seoul South Korea to the Chung Kang College of Cultural Industries, Animation School to learn and explore with Master Animator Mike Nguyen. This intensive 4 week workshop, held during the CKAF School Festival, is to focus on effective animated character portrayal, to be in touch with essences of character, storytelling driven by character’s personality, going beyond technical animated principles and arriving at the ‘living’ characters.

Lectures will follow by practical workshop assignments with daily one-on-one & group critiques.

Each participant will aim to bring forth a new & personal ‘animated being’ to life through the series of workshop assignments, interacting with each other ‘animated beings’ within the workshop that will weave into a group’s short film to be featured at the CTNX Showcase 2025.
