Adrienne Nichelle Brown-Norman is an accomplished children’s book illustrator and fine artist known for her luminous, expressive work across both traditional and digital mediums.
She served as a Senior Illustrator for Disney Publishing Worldwide, where she brought beloved stories to life through richly painted children’s books inspired by Disney and Pixar animated features. Her work includes iconic characters such as Mickey Mouse, as well as Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story—though she is especially celebrated for her enchanting depictions of fairies, her favorite subjects to paint.
In addition to her illustration work, Adrienne is a gifted portrait artist, working in pastels and digital media. Her pastel pieces are so refined and detailed they are often mistaken for photography.
Most recently, she illustrated a book by Martha Blanding, honoring Blanding’s historic legacy as Disney’s first Black tour guide and first cast member to reach 50 years with the company . Adrienne was also a featured artist spotlight of a one woman solo exhibit with the CTN Gallery entitled "Art is My Life' hosting over 50 original pieces.
