This unique celebration of animation walks promises to unveil the diverse personalities and moods that can be expressed by an animator as inspired by music.

From the subtle saunters to energetic skips and whimsical dances, animators are encouraged to explore the depths of character expression in a short film format. In Composer Ian Rees' original composition, "Walks of Life," created exclusively for CTN, you have a unique opportunity: to be the pioneering artist, animator, designer, or director bringing the music's journey to visual life.

Let the music guide your imagination, inspiring you to animate a single chapter, multiple chapters, or the entire piece. Choose any medium or subject matter – from animals and humans to paper cutouts, puppets, clay figures, abstract shapes, rough or finished. The only limit is your imagination.

Your animation will showcase the transformative power of music and storytelling, inviting viewers to join the journey, revel in its playfulness, uncover its mysteries, and experience its universal emotions.

We are all uniquely individual, yet beautifully one. From all Walks of Life, we take this journey together. Join us.

In Ian's "Walks of Life," composed specifically for YOU, you're presented with a rare opportunity: to be the pioneering development artist, animator, designer and director tasked with translating the journey evoked by the music into a visual form.

DETAILS

Your choice of character, style or subject matter.

Animate one chapter or multiple chapters.

Or take on the whole long and winding rhythmic road!

Your choice of medium – pencil-on-paper, or CGI or Claymation or puppets.

Does not need to be finished final color. Can be rough.
