THE DEAN CUNDEY LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD 2026

Description and Overview

The Dean Cundey Scholarship is a prestigious, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for emerging storytellers, cinematographers, and directors who are passionate about the art of visual storytelling.

This scholarship offers recipients direct mentorship with Academy Award–nominated cinematographer Dean Cundey, whose iconic work has shaped the visual language of modern cinema. Through this rare experience, scholars gain firsthand insight into cinematic craft, including lighting, composition, camera movement, and narrative design.

More than an award, this is a guided creative journey—designed to deepen artistic vision, strengthen technical understanding, and inspire the next generation of filmmakers to find their own cinematic voice.
